Davis is a delightful little boy with a head full of beautiful blond curls.  He always has a ready smile and a zest for life!  He looks like his Dad.....my son, Lee.

Beach Buddies

It was a privilege to learn from Nancy Franke in her workshop on "The Essence of Children", this month at the Atlanta Artists Center.  She was bubbly, full of enthusiasm and encouragement.

" Giving up on our investment in a painting is the best way to improve," she said.  Allow yourselves freedom to experiment and let your creativity flow.  Don't get restricted by worrying about perfection.

Our goal was to show emotion, gesture, movement...not details.  We used bold strokes and big brushes.  I hope I can incorporate some of her concepts into my work. 

Art is exciting!  Just when you think you've gotten it, along comes a new approach.
