Twin Sisters

These beautiful little girls are great models for their handsewn heirloom dresses.  They were photographed in their grandmother's garden.  I love how the sun highlights their pretty red and blonde hair.

I enjoyed painting this beautiful boy with his big blue eyes and gorgeous curls!  

Wading in the Chattahoochee

The reference photos for this portrait of Sam were taken by my very talented daughter in law, Lauren Carroll.  He was wading in the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta.  His favorite part of the painting is the red boat!

Family Outing

Family Outing is one of my paintings included in Let There Be Art at the Museum in Columbus, Georgia this week.  The show opened Thursday night with a lovely reception and runs until April 13. Many thanks to the artist selection committee for allowing me to be a participating artist, to Bob Vardamon for his gala design, and to Martha Hicks for her elegant presentation and delicious culinary offerings.

Opening Night at Anne Irwin Fine Art

Friday was such a fun night!  I am shown here at the opening reception with Anne Irwin by my body of work in the gallery.  Many thanks for the hard work she and Emily West put into creating this lovely show.  They sold two of my pieces before the show began!

I appreciate family and friends who came out to join us.  It was great to meet new friends and artists, as well.  The show will run until September 3.  They will be replenishing the gallery with new pieces as sales occur, so new items will be available throughout the month.
